Costa Rica

Last Monday Lauren and I got back from a nine day trip to Costa Rica. We both had an amazing time, the country is beautiful and the people are very friendly. We spent the majority of our time in Dominical and the surrounding area with a few of our friends, it was great to see everyone again and congratulations to Tia and Randy on their wedding.

Before we headed down I upgraded my camera to the new Canon S90 and couldn’t have ask for a more perfect place to test it out, the camera is basically a pocket sized Digital SLR, with all the features, but without all the bulk, pretty sweet.

All in all Costa Rica is an amazing place to visit and I’m positive that we’ll be going back, a week was just too short… Here are just a few of my favorite photos from the trip, hope you enjoy.

Bryan Crabtree, Lauren Jacobs and Lil Toki Wartooth on Mt. Pinos

On Saturday, Lauren, our neighbors and I took a trip up to Mt. Pinos so the dogs could play in the snow. There were a ton of people at the Nordic Station where the road ends, so we ended up hiking up to the top of the mountain along a pair of Snow Cat tracks. Overall everyone had a great time, especially the dogs.

Cardiff State Beach

So the day after we went down to Balboa Park we decided to go hang out at the beach in Cardiff. Although it was pouring rain a few miles inland, the beach was nice but cold. It was Toki’s first trip to the beach and she had a really good time.

Balboa Park in San Diego

A few weeks back Lauren and I took a trip down to Balboa Park in San Diego. I used to go down there to the museums all the time with my Grandparents when I was a kid, but Lauren had never been. I was kinda bummed that the Natural History Museum was closed, but over all we had a good time. We generally just wandered around and had fun observing all the “professional” photographers with their thousands of dollars worth of equipment make fools of themselves… Must be a San Diego thing.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving

Lauren and I spent a few hours carving pumpkins today. It was a great way to spend the afternoon, plus I had no idea Toki loved pumpkin so much, she would go crazy every time we gave her a piece.
