The Expendables at the Avalon
So after about seven months I finally decided to take a look at the photos I took of The Expendables when they played at the Avalon Hollywood. It took me so long to check out the photos because after shooting I realized I had shot the whole show at medium quality JPG format… Total amateur move, but oh well I think I should have checked out the images sooner. The guys are always fun to shoot, and it’s always a pleasure to hang out with them. www.theexpendables.net

Lindsay Cameron at Cafe Was
My next door neighbor Lindsay is an aspiring singer/song writer. On Sunday night she had a gig at this tiny venue in Hollywood. Lauren and I went out to give support and see her play. The lighting was horrible, but I think I got a few good shots with what I had to work with. You can find more info on Lindsay and her music on her myspace page: myspace.com/lindsaycameronmusic

3 Inches of Blood – West Coast Tour ’09
Last night we went to go see 3 Inches of Blood at the Key Club, if you don’t know who they are you’ll definitely have to check them out. Hailing from Vancouver, BC they are probably one of the best Battle/Thrash Metal bands out there right now.

At The Gates – Suicidal Final Tour
At The Gates, the originators of Melodic Black Metal hailing from Göteborg (Sweden) played a reunion show last night at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood. The show was absolutely amazing and it was great to see these guys come back after 12 years. It was like watching a piece of history, not to mention the total high school flash backs. After their breakup in ’96 the members went on to form two of my favorite Black Metal bands: The Haunted and Cradle of Filth. www.atthegates.se
Below are a few photos I took at the show.
Darkest Hour
The second opening band was Darkest Hour, first time I’d heard them and they definitely rocked it. Municipal Waste was the first opener, they were cool, but sounded too much like a late 80′s Slayer cover band…
