Monster in the Bed

There has been a very odd phenomena that occurs in our house and the oddest thing about it is that it seems to only happen when the bed sheets are changed. The problem has plagued us for about four years now, but I’ve never been quite able to put my finger on it, plus if you try to poke at it, the results are never very friendly. So… after much research and testing, I’ve finally been able to figure out the source of the disturbance…
Turns out we have a Kai Monster infestation!

At The Gates – Suicidal Final Tour
At The Gates, the originators of Melodic Black Metal hailing from Göteborg (Sweden) played a reunion show last night at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood. The show was absolutely amazing and it was great to see these guys come back after 12 years. It was like watching a piece of history, not to mention the total high school flash backs. After their breakup in ’96 the members went on to form two of my favorite Black Metal bands: The Haunted and Cradle of Filth. www.atthegates.se

Below are a few photos I took at the show.

Typical cheesy couple shot of Lauren and I…

Darkest Hour
The second opening band was Darkest Hour, first time I’d heard them and they definitely rocked it. Municipal Waste was the first opener, they were cool, but sounded too much like a late 80′s Slayer cover band…

Aruba – April 2007
Back in April 2007 Lauren and I went to Aruba for Lauren’s Parents 25th Anniversary. We had a really great time exploring the island, scuba diving and just kicking it with a drink on the beach. Aruba is a small Dutch island about 20 miles off the coast of Venezuela. Here are some photos from the trip.

Scuba Diving in Aruba – April 2007
Before we went to Aruba I decided to buy an underwater case for my Canon IXY 800IS. Thought it might be fun to try out a little underwater photography. The case ended up working great and these are just a few of the shots I got.

Gracen Business Cards
My Gracen business cards finally came back from the printer, had a few problems with the paper availability, which delayed things a bit. I’m extremely happy with how they turned out, the photos hardly do them justice. The cards are duplexed with letter-pressing both sides, printed on 80% recycled post consumer stock using soy based inks. www.gracen.com
